Sleep is a critical function that contributes significantly to our physical and emotional health as well as our overall quality of life. Many individuals with disabilities (for instance, those recovering from traumatic brain injury) may have increased problems with sleep. Consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on society can interfere with sleep in a variety of ways, making existing issues more difficult for people with disabilities and/or bringing about new challenges. Listen in, as Dr. Lequerica an expert in sleep disturbances after brain injury, shares the importance of quality sleep and how to maintain proper sleep hygiene during this stressful time.
