Promoting Diversity and Inclusion within New Jersey-Based ProgramsKessler Foundation Special Initiative Grants promote diversity and social inclusion within our New Jersey communities. Inclusive culture, arts, recreation, and other programs bring people of all abilities closer to learn, play and exchange ideas in a diversity of experiences. These grants are awarded for New Jersey projects or programs run by organizations that operate within the broad spectrum of disabilities within the state. Applications are by invitation only and are currently closed. |
Types of Organizations EligibleCommunity programs and services related to accessible arts, recreation, social services, health, transportation, assistive device acquisition, or other areas are eligible to receive this grant. Final grant selection is at the discretion of Kessler Foundation. Special Initiative Grants are awarded for one year and range from $5,000 - $20,000. We do not fund grants to individuals or for the purchase of any vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks, or vans. |
Grant Award ProcessA pre-requirement before applying for this grant is submitting a one-paragraph inquiry with a description of your program’s aim and needs, which is then reviewed for eligibility and interest. Send inquiries to [email protected] and allow at least one week for a response. All accepted inquiries will receive a link to our online Special Initiative application. Applications may be requested at any time; however grants are awarded in September and December. |
