Celebrating Martin Luther King Day

On this Martin Luther King Day, may we all celebrate and strive toward Dr. King’s vision of equality and justice.

With your support, Kessler Foundation researchers Amanda Botticello, PhD, MPH, assistant director, and Denise Fyffe, PhD, senior research scientist, in the Centers for Spinal Cord Injury Research and Outcomes and Assessment Research, investigate health equity and social determinants of health—the demographic, socioeconomic, cultural, and clinical factors associated with disparities in functioning and outcomes among individuals living with a disability. COVID-19 has exacerbated and shed new light on these disparities, and Drs. Botticello and Fyffe are committed to learning, through their research, how to unlock a more just society for us all.
