Using fMRI to Study Cognitive Fatigue in MS (with Ocrevus®)

Study investigates the effect of disease-modifying medications, specifically Ocrevus® on cognitive fatigue in multiple sclerosis (MS). Cognitive fatigue is the kind of fatigue that occurs after intense mental concentration, such as after a session of problem-solving.

Duration

Session 1: Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) session (75 minutes) followed by paper and pencil tests (3 hours). Session can be split into two separate visits.

Session 2: 6-month follow-up fMRI session (75 minutes) followed by paper and pencil tests (3 hours).

Session 3: 12-month follow-up fMRI session (75 minutes) followed by paper and pencil tests (3 hours).

Inclusion Criteria
  • Individuals diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) or primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS) who have been prescribed Ocrevus by their medical doctor
  • 18-64 years of age
  • Speak and read English fluently

Compensation

$100 per session for a total of $300 upon completion
