A Systematized Approach to Improve Memory in Older Adults

This study investigates the effectiveness of a memory enhancement technique in adults 60 years and older. Participants are randomly assigned to either an active control group or treatment group. Both groups complete memory exercises.

Duration

3 sessions to complete paper and pencil tests (2-3 hours each). Testing sessions take place at week 1, week 6, and 6 months after program completion. There are 2 (optional) MRI scans (2 hours each) at week 1 and 6. Intervention sessions are 2x/week for 4 weeks (45 minutes each).

  • 60 years or older 
  • Speak English fluently
