Studying Brain Connections in Pediatric Autism

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between brain function and how symptoms are expressed and vary in adolescents with autism.  Participants will complete paper and pencil tests and receive and MRI scan. Participants have the opportunity to practice scanning in a "mock MRI scanner" designed to mimic the MRI experience.

Two visits. First visit is 2.5-3 hours and second visit is 1.5 hours. 

Inclusion Criteria
  • Adolescents who have autism and are 11-18 years old
  • Control participants age 11-18 who have not been diagnosed with any neurological conditions, learning disorders, or mental health disorders.

Compensation

Participants who complete the study will receive $200 in gift cards.
