Remediation of Emotional Processing Deficits in Multiple Sclerosis:  A Randomized Clinical Trial

The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of an emotional processing training program in people with MS. 


Participation lasts for 8 weeks. Participants will complete initial baseline testing of thinking and emotional skills and an optional fMRI and eye-tracking scan. Participants are then randomly assigned to one of two training groups that meet twice a week for 6 weeks and complete follow-up testing.

Inclusion Criteria
  • Individuals aged 18-65.
  • Diagnosis of Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Can read and speak English fluently.

Participants who complete the study will receive $300 for their time. Participants who qualify for the fMRI scans and decide to participate will receive an additional $50. Participants who qualify for the eye tracking scans will receive an additional $100.
