This study demonstrates that epidural stimulation may be a method for improving stepping, standing and bladder function in people with spinal cord injury. This type of stimulation is given near the spinal cord through a device that is placed inside the body during a surgery.

Participation lasts approximately 2 years.
Inclusion Criteria
- 22 years or older
- Have a spinal cord injury between C8 and T10 that is not getting worse
- At least 1 year post injury and in stable condition
- Unable to move legs at the hip, knee and ankle joints by choice (voluntarily)
- Unable to stand independently
- Not taking anti-spasticity medication
- Have not received Botox injections in the last 6 months
- Have bladder dysfunction as a result of spinal cord injury
