Improving New Memory and Learning in School-Aged Children with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

This study investigates whether a memory training program called the Modified Story Memory Technique (mSMT) can improve learning of school-aged children with memory impairment following a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Duration

Participation may last up to 5 months. Participants will complete a screening visit lasting 45 minutes. If your child qualifies for the full study they will complete 3 testing sessions lasting 2 hours each and 10 learning sessions (meets twice a week for 5 weeks) lasting about an hour. 

Inclusion Criteria
  • Children aged 9-17.
  • Sustained a TBI at least 1 year ago, that has affected their memory. 

 

Compensation

Up to $300 for completing the study.
