Exploring Racial/Ethnic Contextual Factors Associated with Functional Independence in SCI

The goal of this study is to describe the factors associated with patterns of activities and participation in the homes and communities of a racially/ethnically diverse sample of SCI manual wheelchair users.
Duration

Inclusion Criteria
  • Males
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Self-identify race/ethnicity as either Hispanic, Non-Hispanic Black, or Non-Hispanic White.
  • Use a manual wheelchair as a primary means of mobility.
  • SCI is described as paraplegia, motor complete, or ASIA A, B, or C.
