Understanding and Creating New Memories

The purpose of this research study is to investigate how new information is strengthened in the memory of people with TBI or MS. Researchers want to understand what happens in the brain after a person learns new information. 

Participants complete paper and pencil tests and tasks while in an MRI scanner.

1 visit lasting 4.5 hours. 

Inclusion Criteria
  • Individuals diagnosed with TBI
  • aged 18-80
  • no co-occurring neurological diseases such as epilepsy or stroke
  • medically cleared for an MRI scan

Or

  • Individuals diagnosed with MS or medically healthy
  • aged 18-60
  • no co-occurring neurological diseases such as epilepsy or stroke
  • medically cleared for an MRI scan. 
Compensation

Participants receive $100 for completing the study and $50 for travel expenses.
