A newsletter for people with spinal cord injuries

Kessler Foundation released the latest issue (2014, Vol. 3, No. 1) of Connections, a publication of the Northern New Jersey Spinal Cord Injury System (NNJSCIS) for individuals with SCI, their families, and caregivers. Read how Michael Rhode returned to the slopes after an injury, learn how to prevent pressure ulcers, find out about accessible entertainment and recreation, and get updated on the latest SCI research.

The Model Systems, funded by the National Institute on Disability & Rehabilitation Research, is a system of coordinated care and research that conducts in-depth collaborative studies that address the recovery and outcomes following an injury. Sharing information is also a top priority. NNJSCIS, one of 14 SCI model systems in the US, is a collaborative effort of Kessler Foundation, Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, and Rutgers, The State University of NJ. Connections is published twice semiannually.
