Kessler Foundation and Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation are collaborating on research studies that will help determine which types of patients are most likely to benefit with use of eLEGS. Gail Forrest, PhD, an expert in biomechanics research at Kessler Foundation, plans to test the exoskeletal device initially in people with paralysis caused by spinal cord injury, as well as in people with brain injury, stroke, and neuromuscular disorders. Forrest's research team will work closely with the clinical staff at Kessler Institute, under the direction of Medical director Steven Kirshblum, MD.
