This study explores how identifying personally meaningful activity goals may improve motivation to participate in stroke rehabilitation.
Participation lasts about 2 weeks. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the goal-setting group or a comparison group.
Goal-Setting Group
• Baseline assessments (2 hours)
• One goal-setting session (1.5 hours)
• Outcome assessments and one MRI scan (2 hours)
Comparison Group
• Baseline assessments (2 hours)
• Outcome assessments (30 minutes)
• Adult (aged 18 - 85 years)
• Diagnosed with stroke(s)
• Able to communicate in English
• Currently receiving any outpatient rehabilitation (OT, PT, cognitive therapy, speech therapy)
Participants receive up to $70 for completing the study.
