A Strength-Based Intervention to Improve Job Interview Skills in Young Adults with ADHD

Researchers are evaluating how effective a strength-based intervention is in improving job interview skills in young adults with ADHD who may have difficulty with job interviews or want to improve these skills.

This study is fully remote and does not require any in-person visits.

Participation lasts 8 months. During the first week, participants complete a video- recorded, mock job interview to qualify. If participants qualify, they will complete tests and questionnaires via Zoom (1-2.5 hours). If assigned to a training group, participants will engage in an online, strength-based intervention for 12 sessions once or twice a week (1 hour each) through Zoom. On week 8, participants will complete an additional mock job interview, tests, and questionnaires. There will be a follow-up phone call 6 months after study completion to discuss any changes to occupational status.

Inclusion Criteria

There will be 50 adolescents in the study between the ages of 14 and 26. 

In order for you to participate in this study, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Live in the United States of America
  • 14-26 years of age 
  • Speak English fluently and at a 4th grade reading level
Compensation

Participants who complete the study may receive up to $100 for their time.
