This study assesses whether adding electrical stimulation to existing aphasia treatments improves the ability to read in people who have had a stroke

Duration
This study involves approximately 34 visits over the course of 8 weeks. This schedule includes 1 session for baseline assessment, 1 session for interim assessment approximately 4 weeks into the study, and 1 final assessment at the conclusion of the study. These sessions will last approximately 4 hours each.
Inclusion Criteria
- Age 18 - 80
- Chronic ( > 6 months) left-hemisphere stroke
- Diagnosis of aphasia
- Difficulty reading aloud
- Able to travel to Kessler Foundation for study procedures
