Emily DeBel is an SCI Navigator in the Center for Spinal Cord Injury Research at Kessler Foundation. Emily previously worked at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ, serving as the program coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Fellowship Program in Physical Rehabilitation and as the co-lead for the Inpatient Wheelchair Seating Team. Emily holds an advanced certification as an assistive technology professional certified through RESNA and in this role has served as a wheelchair seating and mobility expert as well as an advocate for the use of assistive technology in brain injury rehabilitation. She graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in social and behavioral sciences and a minor in psychology in 2016. She then received her Master of Science degree from Seton Hall University’s School of Health and Medical Sciences in Occupational Therapy in 2018.
