Danae S. Manta is a research assistant in the Center for Neuropsychology & Neuroscience Research at Kessler Foundation. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Science from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. As an undergraduate, Danae worked in two research labs: The Sleep and Stress Physiology Lab run by Dr. Ryan Brindle assessing the effects of stress on sleep and the uncoupling of respiration and heartbeat during stress, and the Language and Affective Science Laboratory run by Dr. Holly Shablack investigating parent`s and children’s relationships and emotion regulation as an outcome.

Danae Manta is involved in research including "Using the Eyes to Study the Brain" developing learning and memory tests on an eye tracking system for individuals with SCI and the Kessler Foundation's modified Story Memory Technique (KF-mSMT®) for individuals with multiple sclerosis.
