Transitioning from rehabilitation to home after spinal cord injury can bring new and often unexpected challenges for individuals and their caregivers. In an ONNJ interview on Mornings with Ken Rosato, Denise C. Fyffe, PhD, assistant director of the Center for Spinal Cord Research at Kessler Foundation, discussed common needs, including accessible transportation, coordinated healthcare, equipment, and support with managing daily life at home.

Dr. Fyffe highlighted Kessler Foundation’s SCI Navigator Program, which provides free, personalized guidance beyond rehabilitation. SCI Navigators help coordinate healthcare, find accessible transportation, obtain needed equipment, connect with community resources, and more.
