Jonathan Gudema is an estate and elder planning attorney with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals and families plan for the future with clarity, compassion, and confidence. He advises clients on wills and trusts, incapacity planning, long-term care planning, asset protection, and legacy planning, guiding them through complex legal and financial decisions with practical, plain-language counsel. Jonathan’s work focuses first and foremost on serving individuals by protecting families, preserving independence, and ensuring that each client’s values are reflected in their plan.
In addition to his estate planning work, Jonathan serves as legacy giving advisor to Kessler Foundation, where he supports individuals and families who wish to include charitable giving in their estate and retirement plans. He advises nonprofit organizations on planned giving strategies, donor education, and legacy programs. Jonathan previously held senior roles in planned giving at national and healthcare institutions and led major consulting projects before founding Planned Giving Advisors and Gudema Legacy Advisors.
