East Hanover, NJ – July 9, 2026 – Kessler Foundation has again been named one of NJBIZ’s “Best Places to Work in New Jersey” this year, marking the 13th time since 2012 that the Foundation has earned a place on the prestigious list of top employers in the state. The Foundation was recognized in the medium-sized employer category (50–249 employees), reflecting its continued commitment to employee engagement, professional growth, and organizational excellence.
The NJBIZ Best Places to Work program honors organizations throughout New Jersey that demonstrate outstanding workplace cultures and a strong commitment to employee satisfaction. Employers are evaluated based on workplace policies, practices, and demographics, as well as confidential employee feedback on leadership, communication, engagement, and overall workplace experience.
“We are honored to once again be recognized among New Jersey’s best places to work,” said Rodger DeRose, president and chief executive officer of Kessler Foundation. “This distinction reflects the dedication, talent, and generosity of our employees, who bring purpose to their work every day. Our people are the driving force behind our success, creating an environment where collaboration thrives, innovation flourishes, and meaningful change for people with disabilities becomes possible.”
Kessler Foundation conducts innovative rehabilitation research aimed at improving mobility, cognition, employment outcomes, and quality of life for people living with disabilities. The work focuses on challenges caused by conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, autism, and other neurological and developmental disabilities. The Foundation’s research is supported through federal and state funding, private philanthropy, and partnerships with nonprofit organizations.
“Whether advancing groundbreaking rehabilitation research, supporting individuals with disabilities through employment initiatives, or strengthening our communities, every member of our team plays a vital role. This recognition belongs to them,” DeRose added.
The annual NJBIZ awards program celebrates employers that excel in creating workplaces where employees feel supported, respected, and empowered to contribute their best work. Rankings for the 2026 Best Places to Work honorees will be announced at the official awards ceremony later this year.
