Funding community integration through arts, sports, recreation, and other programs. Special Initiative Grants are awarded for New Jersey projects or programs run by organizations that operate within the broad spectrum of disabilities in the state. Applications are by invitation only.

Improving Quality of Life

Kessler Foundation Quality of Life grants celebrate diversity and social inclusion within our communities. Barrier-free culture, arts and recreation programs bring people of all abilities closer to learn, play and exchange ideas in a diversity of experiences.

What We Fund

Special Initiative Grants are awarded for New Jersey projects or programs run by organizations that operate within the broad spectrum of disabilities in the state. Applications are by invitation only. Grants are for one year and range from $5,000 - $20,000. Community programs and services related to arts, recreation, social services, health, transportation, assistive device acquisition or other areas are eligible to apply. Final grant selection is at the discretion of Kessler Foundation.

How To Apply

Please submit a one paragraph inquiry with a description of your request to [email protected]. Please allow at least 1 week for a response to your inquiry. All accepted inquiries receive a link to our online special initiative application. Applications may be submitted at any time. However grants are awarded in September and December.  We do not fund grants to individuals, nor fund the purchase of any vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks, or vans.
