Problem-Solving Training for Care Partners of Adults with TBI

The purpose of this project is to determine whether providing problem-solving training can reduce caregiver burden and improve coping skills and mood in care partners of adults with TBI who have been admitted into the hospital. Participants will complete questionnaires about coping skills and general feelings about caregiving. 

Duration

Participation lasts up to 6 months:

  • 6 training sessions 2x a week (10-40 minutes each) while care recipient is in the hospital
  • Evaluation 1-month post hospital discharge (30 minutes)
  • Evaluation 6-months post hospital discharge (30 minutes)
Inclusion Criteria

Care partners of adults with TBI who have been admitted into the hospital. 

Compensation

Participants who complete the study will receive $60.
