Improving Walking Using Virtual Reality-based (VR) Treadmill Training in TBI

The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of VR-based treadmill training on walking ability. Researchers are also examining changes in thinking ability and brain activity as a result of the VR-based treadmill training.

Participants complete walking, sitting, and standing tests using Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS). fNIRS is a technique that uses infrared light to detect changes in blood level in the brain while a person performs a task.
