Identifying Disparities in Preventive Primary, Dental, and Vision Services after SCI

The purpose of this study is to understand the healthcare experiences of people with SCI. Researchers are interested in the types of healthcare services typically received, issues experienced accessing the care needed, and the level of satisfaction with care. 

This study can be completed remotely and does not require in-person visits.

Actively Recruiting

Participants complete a telephone survey lasting 20-30 minutes. 

Inclusion Criteria
  • Individuals age 18+ who have either a traumatic or non-traumatic SCI*
  • experience ongoing limitations using their legs, arms, or hands
  • are fluent in English
  • have lived in the community for at least 1 year after completing an inpatient rehabilitation program.

*individuals living with multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or spina bifida are not eligible for this study.


Participants who complete the study receive $25 for their time.
