Equity and Quality in Assistive Technology for Individuals with SCI (EQUATE)

Researchers are looking at the assistive technology used by individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) and those with diagnoses that affect the spinal cord. This includes information about smart-home technologies and wheelchair make, model, repairs, and training experiences among those who use a wheelchair. We will also look at characteristics that impact the quality of assistive technology received and the impact of assistive technology on health-related outcomes.”

Participants complete one online survey.

Inclusion Criteria
  • Individuals who have an injury or diagnosis that affects the spinal cord and occurred at least one year prior to enrollment
  • 18 years of age or older
  • must have access to a computer, smartphone, or tablet that can access the internet 
  • able to speak and read English.
