Action Control in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

The purpose of this research study is to understand how children with ADHD control their actions compared to neurotypical children. 

Parents are asked to answer questions about their children's behavior, memory skills, personality, and motor activities to determine eligibility. Children play "brain games" and complete paper and pencil measures.

Duration

Participation lasts approximately 2-2.5 hours. 

Inclusion Criteria
  • Children age 6-10 who are diagnosed with ADHD or neurotypical children age 6-10
  • speak English well
  • able to play a computer-based game*
  • able to have an MRI scan (no contrast dyes or injections are used in this study)

 

*An additional computer task is optional.

Compensation

Participants who complete the study receive $150.00 for their time.
