Kessler Foundation Receives the LADACIN Network’s Humanitarian Award

Kessler Foundation received the LADACIN Network’s Humanitarian Award at their 33rd Annual Rosebud Gala in Eatontown, NJ on March 15. “On behalf of Kessler Foundation, we are honored to receive LADACIN’s Humanitarian Award,” said Elaine E. Katz, senior vice president of Kessler Foundation, upon accepting the award. “Both Kessler Foundation and LADACIN share a commitment to improving the lives of people with disabilities by focusing on work readiness preparation, employment training, and placement in real jobs. We believe that having a competitive job that pays a living wage leads to independence and financial self-sufficiency, which is of great importance to individuals with disabilities, just as it is to any other group of people. We look forward to continuing to support the great work of LADACIN.”

Kessler Foundation supports LADACIN’s Access Unlimited Program, a document management program in Monmouth County that has training and employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. Access Unlimited provides scanning, archiving and shredding services to local businesses. The Foundation also funds a Career and Contract Developer who works with clients to find employment and promote the services of Access Unlimited in the community. “We are privileged to partner with the prestigious Kessler Foundation to create opportunity and a brighter future for people with disabilities, and to recognize the Foundation as a Humanitarian honoree,” said Patricia Carlesimo, LADACIN’s executive director. The Foundation’s award was acknowledged by a Joint Legislative Resolution of the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly.
