Samantha Whitney

Samantha Whitney is a research assistant in the Center for Traumatic Brain Injury Research at Kessler Foundation. She graduated with Latin honors, Magna Cum Laude, from Drew University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. During her undergraduate studies, Samantha worked in Dr. Roger Knowles' neurobiology lab, focusing on developing a consistent in vitro model of Alzheimer’s disease using subtoxic concentrations of AlCl3 and evaluating the neuroprotective properties of vitamin E oil. Additionally, under the mentorship of Dr. Christina McKittrick, she contributed to projects investigating the locomotor activity of in vivo rodent models of Parkinson’s disease and drug addiction.
