Informing a Caregiver-Driven Vision for Future Services and Supports

This study aims to understand the perspectives of family caregivers regarding their needs for supportive services and resources in caring for a loved one with SCI. It also seeks recommendations to address caregivers' unmet needs in their everyday activities. The data generated from the study will be used to develop programs and resources to address the unmet needs of caregivers.

This study is fully remote and does not require any in-person visits.

Participation lasts 1 month including Screening and Consent Session (20-30 minutes); Questionnaire Session (45-60 minutes); and Focus Groups (1.5-2 hours)

Inclusion Criteria
  • 18 years of age or older 
  • Identifies as a woman or female 
  • Is a parent or (romantic) partner of a loved one with spinal cord injury (SCI) for at least one year 
  • Spends at least 20 hours per week providing hands-on help to a loved one with spinal cord injury 
  • Able to speak and understand English
