In March 2012, Kessler Foundation launched its second installment of the “Only Abilities Matter” campaign, featuring Eric LeGrand and John Larroquette in a series of public service announcements. Everyone has limitations. As they learn to overcome these limitations, they find new abilities. The same is true for the 54 million Americans with disabilities—20 percent of the population. People often focus on what they think these talented individuals can’t do instead of recognizing what they can do. The goal is to change the conversation from disabilities to ABILITIES by having society realize that “only abilities matter!”
As part of the “What are Your Abilities” campaign, we invite everyone to visit Kessler Foundation on Facebook to share their abilities. Tell us abilities that you discovered you had or that others may not expect. We will gather these stories and create an article on Kessler Foundation’s homepage. Together, we can show the world that abilities matter most!
