Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine Publishes Year-end Issue

Vol 36 no. 6 features reviews and research articles on wide variety of topics in SCI

West Orange, NJ. December 9, 2013. The year-end issue of the peer-reviewed  Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine (JSCM) has been published. This issue features three reviews on a variety of topics: management of pressure ulcers, the thoracolumbar classification system, and cardiac arrhythmias after spinal cord injury. Research articles address ambulation, bone loss, nutritional supplementation, mortality, quality of life issues, and canine assistance. Nontraumatic spinal disorders featured include multiple sclerosis, epidural hematoma, spinal cord metastases, and demyelination disease. JSCM is the official journal of the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals. Editorial content is accessible via ingentaconnect.com.

JSCM reminds authors that the deadline for the Ernest Bors Award for Scientific Development is December 31. Primary authors of articles accepted in 2013 are eligible to apply if the research was conducted while they were students, residents or postdoctoral fellows in a program leading to a career in SCI research.
